Lizards

Liam LOVES looking for lizards on our walks. There's a huge pile of cement blocks and pieces of wood and stuff just at the bottom of our stairs by the fence and you can always find tons in there. There are also lizards often climbing on the walls around our dryer and stuff on the porch. Every time we are out there he asks for the lizards and tries to catch them!
There are so many roaming animals on the island its kind of crazy! TONS of roosters and chickens, goats and cows everywhere! Liam often likes pulling a chair or basically anything he can find up to the edge of the balcony and just watches at all the animals, cars and people going by.  As well as all the boats in the water. Although he often gets us in trouble when he does this cause our land lady is scared he will fall off. And also for dragging the chair across the floor get us in trouble too! It worries me too but I know he just loves seeing everything that goes on!
Little lizard we found on our balcony

Liam started chasing the rooster down the road.
Cows are just everywhere. As well as the goats. The cows just stand in the middle of the road sometimes NOT moving. They dont care and aren't afraid of getting hit! There are donkeys as well but we havn't seen too much of them yet!
We love our walks with dad!

This little lizard got scared and you can see it running away in the picture!
Our land lady put up the little fence around the balcony so the kids wouldn't fall off. But now Liam thinks he can climb up it which makes it SO much worse! Little stinker!

ICE CREAM

So we decided to go to a different park today. We call it the plastic park. There really is just the 2 parks. It would be a really nice park but a lot of it is broken and so you have to be pretty careful.
Caleb hanging out in the gazebo. There are no trees for shade at this park so it gets pretty hot playing here.
Liam making new friends! He loves being around other kids! He might not say much or even look like hes playing with them but he just like their presence.  That's the one thing we miss most about being back home!
 Playing on the teeter totter
Decided to take the scenic route home and drive by the Atlantic Ocean side.
I had been to the store several times but never had I seen big buckets of ice cream. When this was there I just HAD to buy it! Its pretty expensive though, $12.60 - but worth every penny! After our hot morning at the park we decided we had earned ourselves a big bowl of ice cream. With all the yummy toppings to go with it. Chocolate AND sprinkles! Liam was in heaven! So was I! :)
Helping me scoop up the ice cream into the bowls!
 Mixing it!
We took our bowls and sat on the porch hoping to feel a nice breeze! Delish!!!

Potty Training

So Liam had been coming to me often, especially in the mornings after he woke up saying poops! (this term is used for peeps and poops by Liam!) He would usually have poop in his diaper and want me to change it. He didnt like any poop in his diaper at all! He showed quite an interest in it but still I figured he was too young to be potty trained. After I talked to some girls here about it, I figured why not give it a go. I mean HE is showing an interest AND its all tile here! So I went with it! It was a HUGE success. He was going on the potty like crazy with very few accidents. After a couple weeks of basically no accidents, he had a few weeks that were bad but it didn't take long until he barley has accidents at all. If I am busy with Caleb feeding him or in a different room, that's usually when he has his accidents. So not really his fault at all!  I ask him lots if he has to go potty especially if we are out, but for the most part he runs to the bathroom all on his own.
Sporting his new underwear! He loves them!
Sitting on the potty!
I am so proud of him! :)

Brants School

It was a beautiful day so we decided to go for a walk and check out daddys new school.
All set to go for a walk!
But Liam prefers running around to sitting in the stroller!
Liam loves walking with dad and also helping push the stroller! The school is the building with the red roof just down the road.
There are a couple school buildings on the Island. This one is the classrooms building where Brant goes to school every day. And also where we attend church. There are like 4 classrooms on the main level and one up stairs and one down below. And that's it! The anatomy lab is in town and the building they write their tests at is close to the airport.
You can see the quill in the background. The court yard is also where Sunday School is held while the primary kids use the room inside that we are given. (The sign is blank in the pictures but now actually has writing on it.  :) )

Spear Fishing

So there a couple guys here that go night spear fishing quite a bit. Brant was invited to go and was really excited for it. I waited up to see how things went but little did I know how long I would be waiting up for. They left I think around 9 and didn't get back until after midnight. Its one thing to snorkel, another to snorkel and spear fish, another to snorkel at night while spearfishing and another to do all those things for 3 hours! Pretty impressive! They got some good fish and Brant had a great time! I know he's pretty pumped to go some more and wants his own spear gun even! At least there are a few things for the guys to do when they get a break from all that studying!
This is Todd. Hes the pro and introduced it to everyone. And got everyone hooked! He is also getting fish guts all over my newly mopped deck!! Ha :)
Dividing up the fish for everyone who went.
